Drawings can be added to a specific Pigeonhole or service, either as new drawings or as new revisions of existing drawings.
1. Open the building you want to add a file or files to.
2. Choose how you want to add the files.
Option 1: Drag and Drop a file or files onto a Service tile and click upload to start the upload process.
Option 2: Navigate to the specific floor or service where you want to add a file or files, click the large '+' icon, which will then open the add file process.
3. 'Drag and drop' your file onto the grey '+' icon - see this video.
4. Or, hit the '+' icon - see this video, and select the file(s) you wish to upload by browsing to them via your file browser. The file(s) selected will then be displayed on the 'Add New File' screen. When ready, hit ‘Upload’.
It is not mandatory to add all data for every file however the following behaviour is observed:
- When entering files from within a building/service, if the level and service are not populated the file will save in the current pigeonhole.
- Choose the Service and Floor you want the file or files to be uploaded to.
5. When ready, select ‘Upload’ at the bottom of the screen to save all files. The file is then saved with the new name.
Pigeonhole will check if the files are completely new, or new versions of existing files, by looking within the specified building, level, and service for drawings with the same title and drawing number. If it is a new file, a new File pigeonhole will be created. If it is a new version of an existing file (because it has the same name and drawing number), then it will be added to that file’s pigeonhole.
